Kit's Tips: Using torn paper instead of cut, adds a nice texture to this tissue decoupage. Paint white tissue paper on top of red to create pink.
Now you can place a safety tea light into the jar or fill it with treats. For a finishing touch, tie a piece of ribbon around the top. It couldn't hurt to write a small note about removing the ribbon before lighting the candle. As always, NEVER leave lit candles unattended.

Create beautiful votive candles from these simple materials:

·Baby Food Jars
·White Glue or Midge Podge
·Tissue Paper - white, yellow, and orange
· Permanent Marker (optional)

Instructions:
Be certain to use a jar large enough to fit a tea light.

  1. Dilute the glue to a consistency thin enough for a paint brush or use Midge Podge.
  2. Paint some of the glue on part of the jar. Apply torn pieces of tissue paper.
  3. Repeat this process until the jar is completely covered. (after your child is done creating paint on one last smooth coating of glue)
  4. Let the jar dry overnight.
  5. After the jar is completely dry, use a permanent marker to add any additional details.
