Procedure

1. Put various colors on the paper plate.

2. Cut two apples in half; one lengthwise and the other acoss the middle.

3. Talk with your child about how they look alike and different.

4. Allow your child to put the cut end of the apple in the paint, and print the paint on the paper. Try both apples. Talk with your child about how the prints look alike and different.

5. Try some other kinds of fruits to print with. You could try oranges, starfruit, and even bananas. Talk with your child about the effect of each kind of fruit.
